Apple Dumplings Revisited

Apple Dumplings

Photobucket

A couple weeks ago I sent away to Williams and Sonoma for these cute little pastry cutters. I couldn't wait to try them out! You can find the recipe for the Apple Dumplings here. I just made the dough up, peeled, cored and wrapped the apples in the dough ( putting the sugar, butter and cinnamon in the apple before wrapping) then used the left over dough to cut out little leafs for the tops of the apples. I made a little stem too! I make this recipe for the restaurant and our customers love it!

These are the Apple Dumplings before baking, aren't they cute!

After they're baked and before they were glazed with that wonderful syrup in the bottom of the pan!

These are wonderful dumplings I hope you give the recipe a try!

You three girls rock. Everything together makes a perfect meal.
Bunny, hope it's nothing serious but my prayers are with you. I had a rough time during summer but thank God, problems have been surpassed, but trying to eat more healthy since then.

P.S. I tried to send you an e-mail but it came back undelivered. If you want to contact me there is a contact page on my blog and if there is anything I can do please let me know. Hugs

Oh my. All three of these recipes look FABULOUS. I was just thinking of apple dumplings the other day because they are a childhood favorite. I've never made them, afraid I couldn't make them as well as my mother, I guess, so all these years I've gone without. Time to grow up and make a pan, I think, grins.

My prayers have been sent in your behalf. You are in my prayer string.

Hugs & Blessings,
Your friend, Katy

The barley soup looks hearty and delicious. My mother used to make a great one too- but I hate the photos I've taken of it- just looks so bland when it tastes so good- so I have never posted it. You did a good job with your photo.
The apple dumplings are adorable and the glasses great fun!
