I had never even heard of this little gem until my cousin Judy and I were discussing recipes, she highly recommended it and gave me the recipe.  It took me awhile Judy but I finally got it made!   I was thinking about the holidays coming up and what would be a nice light treat to bring to a Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner.  I wanted it to be easy as well, something you could make and forget about till you needed it.  This was perfect!   This is like a dessert fruit salad.  I halved the recipe for Paul and I and made one change.  After I mixed the ingredients together for the "dressing" that would be mixed with the grapes ,I decided to fore go putting the brown sugar and pecans on top of the grape salad as the recipe called for. I liked the dressing and the sweetness of it mixed with the grapes just the way it was.  I know my husband...with the brown sugar on top, it would not have been something he would have enjoyed. I put the pecans in with the grapes and the dressing. The brown sugar on top was the only thing I omitted. We both LOVED IT!  When you taste this you get the cool juicy grapes mixed with a slight cream cheese-y dressing and the crunch from the pecans.  It was delicious!  The nice thing about this recipe is you can reduce the amount of sugar in the dressing if you like ,so you can put the brown sugar and pecans on top.  Or...mix the topping and place it on the side and give your guests the option of using it.  This would be an excellent summer fruit salad as well.  Thank you Judy for introducing me to Grape Salad, we love it!  Enjoy!
