My husband has been nag....I mean asking me to make this cake for weeks. The Tastey Cake Tandy cake is very popular in Pennsylvania and there are recipes for it everywhere .I got this one from RecipeZaar. This recipe and others like it have been around for years.  To Read More, Click On The Recipe Title.

This is a nice little cake that would be good to make for class partys for school, it's very easy to make, you probably have everything you need already. First you make the cake in a jelly roll pan or a larger cookie sheet if you want it thinner. You take 1 cup of peanut butter in teaspoonfuls and plop it on the hot cake straight from the oven, then you wait a couple seconds till it starts to melt and spread it all over the top of the cake, let the cake cool and make the frosting. Spread the frosting over the peanut butter, there you have it , A homemade Tandy Cake. This is good folks, very good. The cake is moist and soft. And the peanut butter and chocolate combination is wonderful! Try this and you'll understand why we love Tastey Cake Tandy Cake.

Icing
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
1 Beat eggs until nice and yellow.
2 Add other cake ingredients, except peanut butter and beat well.
3 Spread batter onto greased 12x15-inch cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
4 Remove from oven and spread with peanut butter while still hot.
5 When cool, frost with icing.
6 To prepare icing, combine all icing ingredients and beat with electric mixer until smooth.
( This cake took longer than 12 - 15 minutes to bake , more like 25 - 30 minutes. I also had to use about 2 more tbls of milk to get the frosting to the consistency that wanted.)

I love that it's a regional cake and that it makes up and bakes in short order. My obsession with peanut butter says thank you.
